This retreat is for the serious samba dance student aiming to maximize their time abroad and gain valuable dance experiences to further their practice of Brazilian samba. Working with a team of experienced dance professionals and samba specialists, our program promises to deliver high quality technical training in Brazilian samba combined with authentic cultural experiences to further client's understanding of Brazilian culture. Our program focuses on 2 main areas of samba: Samba no Pe and Samba de Gafieira, while introducing program participants to a wider range of Brazilian dance styles, such as: Afro Brazilian Dance, Symbology of Orixa dance, Silvestre Technique, Capoeira, Samba de Roda and Forro, among others.
